Former Mobiistar CMO, Aniruddha Deb to manage WOW Communications

After 17 years of extensive brand stewardship experience in marketing, advertising and brand leadership roles across categories, Aniruddha Deb has moved on to manage WOW Communications as Co-Founder and Managing Partner.

Earlier, Aniruddha Deb was with Mobiistar India in the capacity of a CMO since August 2018. He has worked with brands like Unilever, Nestle, KFC, Subway, LG, Greenply, Samsung, Maruti, HSBC, ICICI, Vodafone, and WeChat. WOW Communications was founded by Santosh Thakur.

Though the company has existed for over a year now, earlier it was working with startups as a backend for their creative needs only and didn't function as a marketing an communication solution outfit. Now, with the rebranding efforts, they are aiming to be a one-stop-shop for startup agencies.

"Most of the startups and the people who are associated with them have an unbelievable burden to make the most of their marketing money without compromising effectiveness and quality," Aniruddha tells us. He further explains that on one hand, the entrepreneurs know that the product or service they're pitching for won't prosper unless consumers know that they exist, and on the other, they don't have hefty budgets to spend on campaigns.

"Additionally, the startups lack the bandwidth, capability, personnel or the moolah for the marketing and communication aspects for their ideas and products," he says, explaining the group of professionals WOW Communications hopes to get on board as clients.

He also tells us that the agency is flexible in the kinds of remuneration models that can be negotiated, ranging from retainer-based payment and project fee-based payment to partnering clients and offer services bundled with a stake in the company.
