We take a look at how BFSI brands kickstarted 2021 with campaigns aimed at promoting e-services and the ease of taking financial support in the JFM quarter.
2020 was a turmoil of a year for many, in terms of health, jobs, and finances. The year saw a shift in major areas including the BFSI sector. People switched from physically going to the bank, to handling their finances digitally. To cope with this, BFSI brands have been marketing their online services while also focusing on other factors like financial support and mental health in their 2021 campaigns.
With 2021 hoped to be a year of recovery, BFSI brands have been going all out to embellish the JFM quarter with campaigns focussed on driving awareness and sales.
Bajaj Allianz Life's campaign, #StartNow talks about preparing ourselves for the unprecedented future and highlights the importance of financial planning. Bank of Baroda gave an emotional touch to its #EkForeverRishta campaign by showing a mother helping out her daughter get her own shop with a gold loan. HDFC Life promoted its service of buying insurance online. Muthoot Finance's campaign had legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan talking about taking a gold loan with ease.
Future Generali's #HealthInsideOut took a different route and spoke about the importance of mental health. With an overworked pillow talking about its owner who's not happy with her job, the brand focuses on key signs of mental illness and tells us that their insurance covers it.
