After 5 years with Paytm, Nitish Saxena moves on to lead brand marketing at Bengaluru-based fin-tech startup, CheQ.
Bengaluru-based fintech startup CheQ has appointed Nitish Saxena as their Head of Brand Marketing. He moves on after a 5-year stint at Paytm, where he led the social media and digital brand marketing mandate.
In his new role, Nitish will be responsible for all brand-building efforts at CheQ to bolster their aggressive growth plans.
Commenting on his appointment, he said, “I am elated to join CheQ as part of their founding team, as we build a robust platform for users to manage their credit in a more rewarding & disciplined manner. I look forward to driving impactful conversations around the brand, working alongside Aditya & the team to create awareness and recognition for the ground-breaking work we are doing.”
Founded by Aditya Soni, CheQ is reimagining financial discipline for the masses by creating a solution for end-to-end credit management. The pre-product fintech startup recently raised $10 million in a seed funding round led by Venture Highway and 3one4 Capital. The round also saw participation from Multiply Ventures, Marshot Ventures and Veda VC.
CheQ also has the backing of angel investors such as Naveen Kukreja (CEO, Paisabazaar) and Shailaz Nag (founder and CEO, Dotpe).

During his stint at Paytm, Nitish conceptualized and executed some popular campaigns that helped Paytm position itself as a social-first brand. These include the viral fraud awareness campaign, ‘Phone par kaun tha’, the award-winning Women’s Day Film ‘The Divide’, and more recently Paytm’s much loved ‘Dil ke Account se #PaytmKaro’ to name a few. His creative work also saw him winning several industry recognitions, including Social Samosa’s Best Social Media Manager of the Year award (AliveNow SAMMIE Best Social Media Brands Awards 2020) and more.
