LinkedIn and GitHub are partnering to release over 40 software development courses, all free for a limited time.

LinkedIn’s Economic Graph Data shows that software and IT skills have changed by over 30% in the last 5 years and that change is accelerating. To get on this tech wave, LinkedIn has paired up with the latest GitHub hands-on practice technology to launch the new LinkedIn Learning with GitHub Codespaces integration, all of which are free until March 2023.

The new feature enables software developers to watch a course and get real workplace-like practice from anywhere. This creates a powerful learning experience requiring only a keyboard-enabled device and an internet connection.

GitHub Codespaces can be found in 50+ LinkedIn Learning tech courses to get real-world software development environments for today’s six most popular programming languages, as well as key topics like data science, AI, and machine learning.

Here's what the LinkedIn Learning + GitHub Codespaces integration offers, which is free from now until February 28, 2023.

The user can now practice in real-world environments at any stage in their software development career.

Cloud-Based Experience:

GitHub Codespaces is cloud-based, meaning no local machine setup is needed, allowing for speed, security, and learning on any machine. The system runs on a cloud virtual machine with its own processors, most of the time faster than my own machines, so any of those can work as a workstation.
