The Barbie live-action movie is set to release in July 2023 and recently announced its character posters. Brands have also jumped into the imaginary world, dolling up for the Barbie trend.
The much-awaited movie Barbie, which is an ode to the iconic Mattel doll, has left the social media world abuzz. The movie will take its fans inside a Barbieland and make our childhood imagination into reality. To promote the movie, Mattel has launched a new poster that showcases all the different Barbies and Kens with their character description based on their value in the movie.
This poster launch was enough to set off a moment marketing trend with brands following suit with their Barbie brand creatives.
Most of these creatives are centered around spotlighting the best features of the services and products they provide. While HDFC Bank shined light on Vigil Aunty’s fight against financial fraud, Croma brought its ‘multitasking’ smartphone to attention.
Dunzo has taken to integrating two different moment marketing trends - the Barbie movie and KKR cricketer Rinku Singh’s five successive sixes in the Gujarat Titans vs Kolkata Knight Riders match.
Social Samosa presents some of the best creatives from the Barbie trend.
