As per reports, Linda Yaccarino is in talks to take over while Musk will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer, overseeing product, software, and sysops.
Elon Musk seems to have finally found a new Twitter CEO as mentioned in his Tweet on Thursday. While he did not name the person, he said that ‘she will be starting in ~6 weeks!’
Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!

Musk had tweeted that he would step down from the role once he found ‘someone foolish enough to take the job’ in December after he lost a Twitter poll.
Now, the Wall Street Journal has reported that NBC Universal executive Linda Yaccarino is in talks for the job.

Yaccarino has been with NBC Universal since 2011 where she is the Chairperson, Global advertising and Partnerships. She had also served as the company's cable entertainment and digital advertising sales division.
She has also worked at Turner for 19 years as Executive Vice President/COO Advertising Sales, Marketing and Acquisitions. Yaccarino studied liberal arts and telecommunications and is an alumna of Penn State University.
While Musk has confirmed the CEO will be a woman, neither Musk nor Yaccarino have commented on the latter's promotion for the job.
Since his announcement though, the discussion has been trending on Twitter with a flurry of memes following suit. While many have been joking that he himself will be looking after the platform as a woman, another user posted a clip of a dog sitting on the boss’s chair, referring to when Musk had jokingly said Floki, his dog, is the 'new CEO' of Twitter.
