International Dog Day: A glance at campaigns that feature our furry friends

Over the years, several brands have featured dogs in their campaigns --emphasizing our canine friends’ warmth and loyalty. Filled with aww-factor and cuteness, these campaigns have tapped into dogs’ ability to entice our hearts.

Every year, August 26 is marked as International Dog Day in honor of our furry best friends’ contribution to our lives. Not only dog parents but people of all sorts are overjoyed by the happiness and warmth that these creatures bring, truly making them man’s best friend.

As with everything else, brands have tapped into dogs’ ability to pull at our heartstrings. Many campaigns till now have featured our canine friends in different capacities to tap into and evoke human emotions. These ads either feature dogs going on about their days or doing activities in a human fashion that evoke laughter as well as amazement.

One of the most popular ads with a dog is Vodafone's pug which taught us to stay connected. Cheeka, the pug has connected enormously with the audience so much so that it has become synonymous with the brand’s identity.

Very recently, Apple came up with an adorable campaign titled, “The Invincibles” which featured the journey of a tripod dog named ‘Trip’ who receives a new prosthetic leg with Apple’s help.

Another campaign that stands out is Sony SAB's 'Old Man and Dog.' The dog named ‘Einstein’ melted several hearts with its emotional depth. The old man is seen praising his dog for the happiness he brings to his life. It is shown that Einstein assists him with his daily activities and never lets him get bored or feel depressed. The dog’s intelligence and humane characteristics are highlighted in the ad.
