12 DIYs for making your pet feel more at home
From exotic couches and wall paint to extravagant dog bowls and fish tanks- make your home a place that also keeps your four legged friend or your little fishy comfy. Home is where art is, is what I personally believe, so give your home a little personalized touch by getting into some DIYs for your pet which not only look spectacular but also spare your pocket.
- Pet cosmetics
Ever thought that your darling pet might need cosmetics too? As fancy as it sounds, you can totally make it home by using absolutely natural products. Grab some baking powder and lemons and blend them up for a perfect deodorizer to keep the odor at bay. Fill these up in mason jars and cover it up with laces or jute to make it look pretty.
- Suitcase bed
Bring down your large suitcases down from the attic and turn them into pretty cozy beds for your little canines or cats.
- Paw art
If you’re a pet parent, we know you want to capture all the memories of your baby. So take paw prints of your cats and dogs in their growing age and place it up on the wall.
- Crocheted Cat Bed
If you can knit, you can build a cozy nest for your little pet baby yourself. Pick your favorite color, possibly something that compliments your home décor and also makes a snuggly, soft hiding spot.
- Art attack
Show some art on the food or water bowl of your pet. All you need are some vibrant, glossy colors and some brushes. Give your pet some personalized love by changing their bowl colors, matching them with your kitchen or their kennel décor.
- Cat Feeding mat
Get back to stitching. Stitch a pretty fish-shaped mat for your cat and place her water and food bowl under it. It’ll make a personalized corner for your cat and embellish your home décor.
- Dog food container
Pick out an old box or container, grab some paint and turn it into a beautiful pastel or just get artistic with your brush resonating with your home décor. Also, just paint down the food instructions and timings on the box so it’s easier for fellow house members to keep a tab on it.
- Mason jar aquarium
Remember how we spoke about fish bowls being too outdated? Bring in some contemporary changes to your home décor by creating an aquarium for your goldfish out of a giant mason jar. It’ll not only be spacious for your fish but a magnificent accessory in your house. Don’t forget to deck it up with some tank plants and multi-hues stones.
- Multiple dog bed
If you are a parent to multiple dogs and have a room for all of them, you could separate those babies by putting big cushions as beds and just put up their photo frames behind. That way you can have a dog room and there’s nothing cuter than that!
- Cozier Pet-bed
If space constrains is what you face, we still got you covered. You can build a cozy, snug corner for your pet under a table without wasting any space in the house. Just attach a pretty curtain under and put a mattress down. Not to mention, use quirky prints and patches or solid colored fabrics to match them up well with your home.
- Guinea Pig swing
How adorable will it be for you to have a guinea pig swing? Grab some ice-candy sticks and paint them, tie them up systematically after attaching the sticks together and bam your guinea pig now has a swing and you got yourself a tiny-winy home décor element.
- Recycled bird feeder
Ever thought you could put your empty milk or juice cartons to good use? Now you can use them to prepare cute little bird feeders. Paint these into solid colors, make plenty if you want and hang them up in the window or terrace.
Get your crafts together, put together your artistic skills and build a personalized element for your pet and simultaneously beautify your home.
